Une nouvelle histoire commence pour Bernard Tessier Fleuriste, véritable institution du centre-ville de Lachute, alors que Maria Kiorpelidis prend officiellement les rênes de ce commerce emblématique ayant traversé les générations avec passion et sensibilité.

C’est dans une ambiance chaleureuse et élégante que s’est déroulée, ce vendredi 8 mai, l’ouverture officielle de la boutique sous sa nouvelle direction. Clients fidèles, citoyens et amis du commerce étaient invités à découvrir les lieux lors d’un cocktail d’accueil accompagné d’un généreux buffet préparé par l’entreprise de son fils, CRUZ CUISINE. Savoureuses bouchées, accueil attentionné et atmosphère conviviale ont rapidement donné le ton à cette journée marquant un nouveau chapitre pour ce fleuriste bien connu de la région.

Originaire de la région et établie à Gore avec sa famille, Maria Kiorpelidis possède déjà une solide expérience dans le domaine des boutiques cadeaux. Sa famille a longtemps œuvré dans le Vieux-Montréal, où elle a grandi au sein d’un commerce familial ayant traversé plus de 50 années d’histoire. Lorsque l’opportunité de reprendre Bernard Tessier Fleuriste s’est présentée, elle y a vu bien plus qu’une simple entreprise : elle y a reconnu une âme, une histoire et une relation privilégiée avec la communauté.

Au fil des décennies, ce commerce a accompagné les familles d’Argenteuil dans certains des moments les plus importants de leur vie : mariages, anniversaires, célébrations, déclarations d’amour, mais aussi périodes de deuil et moments plus difficiles. Derrière chaque bouquet se cache souvent une émotion, un souvenir ou une attention particulière. Maria comprend profondément cette réalité humaine et souhaite préserver cette proximité qui a toujours fait la réputation du fleuriste.

Et pour assurer cette transition en douceur, une présence rassurante demeure au sein de l’entreprise : Sylvain Paquette. Bien connu et apprécié dans la région pour sa gentillesse, son écoute et son immense talent artistique, Sylvain continuera d’accompagner Maria dans cette nouvelle aventure. Passionné de fleuristerie depuis toujours, il demeure une figure importante de la boutique et un précieux allié dans cette continuité.

Cette union entre l’expérience artistique de Sylvain et l’énergie créative de Maria promet déjà une belle complémentarité. Maria possède d’ailleurs elle-même une fibre artistique bien développée, notamment à travers la création de bijoux faits à la main à partir de pierres semi-précieuses, des créations raffinées qui témoignent de son souci du détail et de son amour des belles choses.

A new chapter is officially beginning for Bernard Tessier Fleuriste, a long-standing institution in downtown Lachute, as Maria Kiorpelidis takes over the beloved floral business that has touched generations of families throughout the region.

The official opening under the new ownership took place this Friday, May 8, in a warm and elegant atmosphere. Loyal customers, local residents and friends of the business were invited to visit the boutique during a welcoming cocktail event featuring a delicious buffet prepared by her son’s company, CRUZ CUISINE. Guests enjoyed fine appetizers, friendly conversations and a welcoming ambiance that perfectly reflected the spirit of the occasion.

Originally from the region and now established in Gore with her family, Maria Kiorpelidis already brings years of experience in the gift boutique industry. Her family operated a well-known family business in Old Montreal for more than 50 years, where she developed her passion for customer service, beauty and craftsmanship. When the opportunity arose to acquire Bernard Tessier Fleuriste, she saw much more than a business opportunity — she saw a chance to preserve the heart and soul of a cherished local institution.

Over the decades, the florist has accompanied families through many of life’s most meaningful moments: weddings, anniversaries, celebrations, declarations of love, but also times of grief and remembrance. Behind every bouquet is often an emotion, a memory or a gesture of comfort. Maria understands the importance of these moments and hopes to continue offering the same warmth, compassion and personalized care that customers have come to appreciate over the years.

Helping ensure a smooth transition is the continued presence of Sylvain Paquette, well known throughout the community for his kindness, artistic talent and passion for floral design. Although stepping away from ownership, Sylvain will remain involved alongside Maria during this new chapter. A passionate florist at heart, he continues to share his expertise and love for the craft with the same dedication customers have always known.

Together, Maria and Sylvain form a promising combination of artistic vision and heartfelt passion. Maria herself possesses a strong creative side, notably through the handmade jewelry she designs using semi-precious stones, reflecting her refined artistic taste and attention to detail.
