Une soirée record pour Lachute en fête malgré une météo incertaine

LACHUTE – S’il fallait une preuve que Roxane Bruneau est l’une des artistes les plus populaires de sa génération, elle a été donnée samedi soir au Parc Barron. Malgré une journée marquée par quelques averses et de brefs épisodes d’éclairs ayant fait hésiter certains festivaliers, des milliers de personnes ont finalement convergé vers le site pour assister à son spectacle, offrant à Lachute en fête l’une des plus importantes foules de son histoire.

La Ville de Lachute avait prévu des stationnements incitatifs avec un service de navettes afin de faciliter les déplacements des visiteurs. Malgré ces mesures, les espaces de stationnement à proximité du Parc Barron affichaient rapidement complet. Les terrains du Continental, de La Patate Rouge ainsi que plusieurs autres stationnements des environs étaient remplis bien avant le début du spectacle.

À l’entrée du site, L’Écho d’Argenteuil a rencontré des spectateurs venus des quatre coins du Québec. Certains avaient parcouru près de six heures de route pour voir l’artiste. Des festivaliers provenaient notamment de l’Abitibi, de Mont-Laurier, de Sept-Îles, de Roberval, au Lac-Saint-Jean, ainsi que de nombreuses autres régions, preuve de l’immense pouvoir d’attraction de Roxane Bruneau.

Une fois le Parc Barron pratiquement rempli à pleine capacité, trouver un bon emplacement relevait de l’exploit. Plusieurs spectateurs nous ont confié qu’une fois leur place trouvée, il valait mieux ne plus bouger sous peine de la perdre.

Si Roxane Bruneau attire autant les foules, ce n’est pas uniquement grâce à ses nombreux succès musicaux. Son authenticité, son franc-parler, sa proximité avec le public et les émotions qu’elle transmet dans ses chansons en font une artiste profondément appréciée, particulièrement par les jeunes générations. Son rôle de coach à La Voix n’a fait qu’accroître davantage sa popularité auprès du grand public.

Cette proximité s’est d’ailleurs manifestée au cours du spectacle lorsqu’une personne a été victime d’un malaise au sein de la foule. Constatant la situation, Roxane Bruneau a immédiatement interrompu sa prestation avant de descendre elle-même de la scène afin de s’assurer que les paramédics puissent intervenir rapidement. Elle a également demandé aux spectateurs de libérer un passage pour faciliter leur accès. Son geste, empreint d’humanité et de bienveillance, a été remarqué et grandement apprécié par les milliers de spectateurs présents.

Tout au long de la soirée, le public a chanté en chœur les plus grands succès de l’artiste, créant une ambiance électrisante. Les kiosques alimentaires ont travaillé sans relâche pour répondre à l’impressionnante demande, tandis que les chandails à l’effigie de Roxane Bruneau se sont vendus comme de véritables petits pains chauds.

Malgré une météo qui a suscité quelques inquiétudes plus tôt dans la journée, Dame Nature a finalement permis la tenue d’une soirée exceptionnelle. Les quelques averses et épisodes d’éclairs n’auront pas réussi à décourager les admirateurs de Roxane Bruneau, qui étaient au rendez-vous en très grand nombre et sont demeurés sur place jusqu’à la toute fin du spectacle.

Le comité organisateur de Lachute en fête peut se féliciter de cette programmation qui a manifestement visé juste. Au terme de cette soirée mémorable, une conclusion s’impose : Lachute en fête confirme plus que jamais son statut de rendez-vous incontournable de l’été dans les Laurentides, attirant des visiteurs de partout au Québec et contribuant au rayonnement de la région d’Argenteuil.

LACHUTE – If there was ever any doubt that Roxane Bruneau is one of Quebec’s most popular artists of her generation, Saturday night’s performance at Parc Barron erased it. Although earlier in the day scattered showers and brief thunderstorms caused some uncertainty and discouraged a few festivalgoers, thousands ultimately made their way to Lachute en fête, creating one of the largest crowds in the festival’s history.

The Town of Lachute had anticipated the large turnout by providing park-and-ride locations with shuttle service to help visitors reach the site. Even with these measures in place, parking lots surrounding Parc Barron quickly filled to capacity. The lots at the Continental, La Patate Rouge, and several nearby businesses were packed well before the show began.

At the entrance to the festival, L’Écho d’Argenteuil met spectators who had travelled from across Quebec. Some had driven nearly six hours to see the artist perform. Festivalgoers came from Abitibi, Mont-Laurier, Sept-Îles, Roberval in the Lac-Saint-Jean region, and many other communities, highlighting Roxane Bruneau’s extraordinary ability to draw fans from every corner of the province.

Once Parc Barron was nearly at full capacity, finding a good viewing spot became a challenge. Several spectators told us that once they had found a place near the stage, it was best not to move if they hoped to keep it.

Roxane Bruneau’s popularity extends far beyond her chart-topping songs. Her authenticity, straightforward personality, close relationship with her fans, and the heartfelt emotions she pours into her music have made her one of Quebec’s most beloved artists, particularly among younger generations. Her role as a coach on La Voix has only further increased her popularity across the province.

That close connection with her audience became especially evident during the concert when a spectator suffered a medical emergency in the crowd. After noticing the situation, Roxane Bruneau immediately paused her performance and personally stepped off the stage to ensure paramedics could safely reach the individual. She also asked the audience to make room so emergency responders could quickly access the scene. Her compassionate and caring gesture was widely noticed and greatly appreciated by the thousands of fans in attendance.

Throughout the evening, the audience enthusiastically sang along to the artist’s biggest hits, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Food vendors worked tirelessly to keep up with demand, while T-shirts and other merchandise bearing Roxane Bruneau’s image sold like hotcakes.

Although the weather created some uncertainty earlier in the day, Mother Nature ultimately cooperated for an unforgettable evening. The earlier showers and brief thunderstorms failed to keep Roxane Bruneau’s devoted fans away, as thousands remained on site until the very end of the concert.

The organizing committee behind Lachute en fête can be proud of a programming decision that clearly resonated with the public. By the end of this memorable evening, one thing was certain: Lachute en fête has firmly established itself as one of the Laurentians’ premier summer festivals, attracting visitors from across Quebec while continuing to showcase the Argenteuil region.
